WHAT IS CORE COMMUNITY?
Core Community at the Gathering Church is a way for people to commit further into their participation within our community.
What DOES IT MEAN TO JOIN?
Joining Core Community emerges from finding a deep sense of belonging in our community and a desire to lean into what God is calling us to.
This includes joining in our mission, living into the values we have, having a desire for mutual accountability, identifying with our theological outlook, and inclusion with us as a legal entity (which includes helping in decision making through voting and selection of leadership).

Baptism
We believe baptism by water is a public sign that a person has repented of sin, received forgiveness, died with Christ, and been raised to new life through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Baptism is a public declaration of one’s commitment to following Jesus within a community that we get to celebrate together.
